Hello colleagues! I’m looking for advice from those managing construction companies in Saudi Arabia. We’re not a huge corporation — more of a mid-sized contractor operating mainly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, we currently run several projects simultaneously, and coordination is becoming more complex each year. Our biggest struggle is internal communication between departments. Site managers don’t always see updated budget balances, procurement sometimes acts urgently without full financial context, and accounting spends days reconciling data. Some of our leadership team thinks ERP for construction might be excessive for a company of our size. They argue that ERP systems are designed mainly for manufacturing plants with assembly lines, not project-based businesses like ours. At the same time, I feel that without better digital integration, scaling further will only increase operational chaos. For those who implemented ERP in construction — was it too heavy for a mid-sized business? Or did it actually simplify management?
